Forced Entry

This painting provides a reminder to people of colour that we are all here because our ancestors were rounded up at gun-point, roped and shackled together and shipped against their wil to other lands as slaves. It provides a piognant reminder to all of us not to forget from whence we came, even though our entry was forced. This collectible acrylic on canvas painting is by Jamaican artist Richard Hugh Blackford.
