Despite being among the top ten percent of the most culturally influential countries in the world, Jamaica struggles to find a formula for determining the economic value of its culture. Despite the global popularity of its music, its tantalizing culinary, dance, and fine arts reputation, the island has suffered both at the level of creators as well as in the area of capitalizing on any economic opportunities that have become available. This video provides an insight into the attendant shortcomings and attempts to provide some possible approaches to addressing the issue.
